Sociální Kompas was built during Hackathon UJEP 2026 as a team project. The goal was to create an interactive guide that helps people navigate the complex landscape of social services available in the Czech Republic — making it easy to find the right service quickly and without bureaucratic friction.
The application works as a step-by-step assistant: users answer a few questions about their situation and needs, and the app points them to the most relevant social services and institutions. The idea addresses a real problem — many people in need are unaware of what help is available to them, or find the system too confusing to navigate on their own.
I was responsible for the frontend, built with Preact for a lightweight and fast user experience. The UI was designed to be accessible and intuitive, guiding users through the selection process with a clean, focused interface.
The project was developed and presented within the hackathon timeframe as part of a collaborative team effort.
